	What the heck happened between Sumire and Shibata? In Scarlet Spiral they were very friendly, and all of a sudden they hate each other. Did I miss something? (Reply to this) (Thread)

Well, this isn't exactly the same world as Spiral. Although many of the characters are the "same" if you read the character bios you will find some significant differences. They are, in fact, different people.

Think of Fallen Leaves as a parallel universe where nothing is quite the same as it was in Scarlet Spiral. Doing this gave us as writers a chance to start afresh with our characters, create new relationships, new characters, and otherwise do new world-building.

Fallen Leaves' Sumire and Shibata have a different relationship than Scarlet Spiral's versions of those characters because they are different people.

Sorry if that's confusing.
